La Palma Mexican Restaurant has been in business for about three and a half years and has been providing Thibodaux residents (and those from around the area willing to travel) a unique, family-friendly experience in Mexican dining.

La Palma is proud to be a family owned and operated business. Owner Raudel Torres and his wife moved to the United States from Zacatecas, Mexico, in the late 80s. In 2004, they settled down in Thibodaux and
realized their dream of opening their own restaurant. La Palma blends ordinary Mexican recipes with specialties from their home state of Zacatecas, Mexico. Items such as Tacos Azteca, sopes and homemade tamales are recipes that Torres’ wife has been cooking for years. She learned the recipes from her mother, who learned it from her mother, and so on.

The menu at La Palma covers several categories of food, all prepared with fresh herbs and spices, to ensure the special and authentic flavor that can only be found at La Palma.

"We are the closest you can get to Mexican food," says Torres. "We are a really unique restaurant, and you can come over here and try something that is special."
